What I Drive
Santa FE IV 2019

Hi, I'm in Spain and drive a 2019 mk IV Santa Fe, 2.2 CRDI AWD.

Hyundai and an independent garage have identified a noise as coming from a rear shock absorber. Hyundai tell me part numbers 55367S1150 Shock Assy rear and 55310S1150 Insulator strut are the replacements needed.

Their price is huge but the independent can't source them.

I've found several after market options on Alibaba, AliExpress and Amazon ranging from around 150€ to 450€ for two shock absorbers delivered, and around 550€ plus if I want them in just a few days. Considerably more for Hyundai OEMs online but still much less than the dealer quote.

So my query is does anyone have experience of replacing the rear shocks? Is it necessary to do the insulator struts at the same time? have you used other than OEM parts? And several places quote the same part numbers but the narrative says for a Palisade; are these the same?

Thanks
